Alejandro Aviles

December 31, 1969 — February 22, 2012

Alejandro Aviles, 72, a resident of Glendale. After a courageous battle with cancer, Alex passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family on February 20, 2012. Alex was born and raised in Glendale. He was the eldest of five children born to Aparacio Aviles and Mary Zuniga and was the beloved husband of Bobbi Meza for over 51 years. Alex will forever be remembered by his children Anthony, David, Dina (Joe), Larry, treasured grandchildren Christian, Noah, Zackary, Nico, Andra and Luke, brother Ernie (Cora) and sister Mary Helen (Tony), along with countless other friends and family whom were blessed to know him. Alex loved being with his family, playing golf and was a lifelong ASU fan. Alex touched the lives of many people with his smile and generosity. He spent a lifetime befriending others and what was commonly known about Alex -- he knew no strangers. Friends and family are invited to attend a memorial service on Friday, February 24, 2012 with visitation at 10:00 a.m. and service at 11am at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 5614 W Orangewood Ave, Glendale. A special thank you to Dr. Jeffrey Isaacs and staff.
