Aldona Mae Hill passed away at the young age of 71 on Wednesday, January 20, 2021 after a long battle of health complications. She was born on May 17, 1949 in Chicago, Illinois by her mother Mary Louise Hill-Laughton. She lived to cherish her memories of her four children Shawn Hill, Hussun Hill, Nita Hill-Triplett, and Devotera Hill; she has 7 grand kids, 13 great grand kids, and a great great grandchild. Her siblings include three sisters Jacqueline, Beverly, Sylvia and two brothers Henry Leo and Ronald who preceded her in death. She was also loved by nieces, nephews, cousins and many more.
Aldona graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Human Resource Management on September 30, 2017. She loved to travel, sing, dance, write poems and had some of her work published. She once took the stage as a stand-up comedian and the crowd loved her. She is a beautiful free-spirited soul, strong, feisty, and made sure she stayed true to herself. She celebrated her African and Native heritage/culture. Aldona was an activist that fought for equality and equal rights for the black community. She will be truly missed and celebrated every day! She was loved by her family and friends. She also gave love to her family and friends equally.
